Aysgarth Waterfalls
Aysgarth is perhaps best known for its breathtaking triple flight of waterfalls, carved out by the River Ure on its descent to mid-Wensleydale. The Upper Fall is featured in the Kevin Costner film Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.
There is car parking at the Yorkshire Dales National park Information Centre and other parking on the south of the river. There are paths and vantage points for all three falls. Several walks also start from here, offering spectacular views. The area is carpeted in wild flowers in the Spring and Summer, and wild birds, squirrels and even deer can sometimes be glimpsed amongst the trees.
