Thorp Perrow Arboretum And Falconry Centre
Thorp Perrow Arboretum consists of 85 acres of woodland walks. It has one of the largest collections of trees and shrubs in the North of England.
In Spring the place is awash with daffodils, followed by blossoms, bluebells and wild flowers in Summer.
Autumn is particularly stunning when the leaves change.
At the Falconry Centre they have a captive breeding and conservation programme. And several times a day (weather permitting) they give demonstrations where you can see, and even handle, birds of prey which is fantastic.
There are also nature trails, picnic areas, and a tearoom/visitor centre.
