Leyburn

Leyburn (approx 9 miles from Newbiggin) is a market town where you can but everything you need for a big weekly shop.

There are supermarkets, a butcher which serves local produce, several hardware stores, newsagents, hair-dressers/beauty parlour, several shops selling both outdoor clothing and designer wear.

There are also several High Street Banks and cash machines. On Friday's there's also a Farmer's market held in the square where you can buy fresh fish, local cheeses, fruit & veg, and various bric-a-brac.
