Westburn Cottage - General Information
Set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Westburn Cottage is the perfect location for a relaxing break. Originally a 17th century barn, the building has been converted and furnished into a cosy residence while retaining many of the original features.
On entering the cottage, you walk into a lounge with original wooden beams, and stone fireplace with a multi-fuel stove. There are also lovely views of the surrounding fells and dales.
The lounge in turn leads to a fully-fitted kitchen complete with granite worktops, double oven, induction hob and dishwasher.
Off the kitchen is the bedroom comprising of a super-king size bed and memory foam mattress.There is also a vanity washbasin and wardrobe.
From the kitchen, stairs lead down to a hallway with a cloakroom area and laundry facilities.
Off the hallway is a stunning stone tile shower room with stylish fixtures and fittings and underfloor heating.
Newbiggin itself is a small hamlet nestling in lower Bishopdale with friendly neighbours always ready to chat. It consists of one small lane with pretty houses either side, but has no through traffic, making it very peaceful.
Westburn Cottage is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside. If spectacular views, lush meadows and fields, and wildlife is what you're after, there are more than twelve hundred miles of footpaths to choose from. There are numerous visitor attractions all within easy reach, and plenty of local amenities.
